Whatโ€™s one tiny (or big!) thing that has brought you a spark of aliveness during the winter months?

Maybe itโ€™s a show youโ€™re loving, a podcast, a cozy recipe, a book you devoured, a ritual or tiny habit thatโ€™s really working for you... literally anything. Share your recs with us!

My spark of aliveness has been cementing my poetry writing practice! It's just what I do now, and it makes me feel so alive and in tune with my inner self.

I'll start ๐Ÿ™‚ Especially with the cold weather, I've found sparks of joy lately going back into the archives of some great podcasts and listening while I do chores around the house or go on walks.

Favorites include: the You're Wrong About (when Mike was still on!), Maintenance Phase, Common Shapes, We Can Do Hard Things when the guest is one I resonate with, and Where Should We Begin? with Esther Perel. Also excited to try Dr. Death soon based on a friend's rec!

What a JOY to go through this practice with you! I am particularly reveling in the permission to be aligned with winter and a slower pace. And obviously, I loved all the poems. โค๏ธ

Aww, friend! ๐Ÿฅฐ I'm so glad you enjoyed the processโ€”and that you found some permission to move more slowly in there, too.

I loved this question, especially for the month of January where it feels like everything is the opposite.

One of the things I wrote down was going to a sober Bingo event that featured a non-alcoholic and alcohol free beverage tasting. My friend and I ended up sitting with two really fun couples who were equally as enthusiastic and competitive about winning, we got to try some fun drinks, and we learned about this budding community in our city. It felt nostalgic and casual with a hint of novelty, which I just love.

Nostalgic + casual + novel! The holy trinity! This sounds like a really great local event (and almost makes me want to seek out something similar?)
