In a comment below, tell us one way you plan to move toward desire in the coming month!
Is it a a sensory experience you want to incorporate into your days? A new routine you want to try? Something you want to move toward? Step back from? Share it below, and let’s give each other the gift of being witnessed and celebrated.
I’ll start! In the writing/poetry group I’m in, I’ve been hanging out at the back of the class for the past few months, figuratively, because it’s safe and sharing my work with the extraordinary writers in that group feels, mm, very intimidating. I shared my first piece in the group recently and immediately I recognized a deep desire to be seen and in community with others—which requires participation! I want to lovingly scoot my fear of judgment to the back seat for a while, and continue engaging + sharing more of my work in that space.
(Also, unrelated, I really want to remember to spend more time outside as the weather is getting nicer! I literally never regret it.)
I feel that so much Michelle. I’ve loved every minute I’ve managed to find myself outside lately, even as the weather cools down-under. And the courage to step forward and make ourselves known amongst other writers even while we question ourselves and our belonging is beautiful also, I hope you see growth in this over the coming weeks.
I would also like to express myself more through words, words carry a deep magic for me that I forget to lean into and I’ve been feeling the pull to return to it strengthen lately (maybe it’s because the weather is cooling? Or because we’ve well and truly settled into the new year and writing has still been left behind for me).
I want to share my work on this new platform of substack, my socials and website have stagnated and my writing feels isolated and unsuited to those communities - whereas Substack seems like a profound community where words are cherished in all forms in a way I haven’t known for a long while, and I desire to be part of that.
I'm cheering you on *so hard* as you return to the deep magic of writing in whatever way is calling to you. I've personally found writing on Substack to be such a breath of fresh air, especially with the quality of connections we're able to make on this platform in its current stage. Looking forward to seeing what you create! 💛
